Description of Gilfach Wen Barn

I have spent a considerable amount of time over the years staying with friends in this style of accommodation as well as running a similar property for a charity for many years.  I drew on all that experience when designing the conversion on my farm of a tumble down stone barn into this  purpose designed facility for reunions.

To view each room and the layout of the building in detail , with the option of zooming in on features in each room please watch the virtual tour.  This  is a video which was taken when the property was first converted.  Over time the furniture in each room will change as but the video gives a clear indication on the style and size of the property for those who are unfamiliar with a bunkhouse.

The property contains :-

A large lounge 20 ft by 40 ft  (6.6m x 13.3m)  with a range of comfortable chairs and a log fire  to supplement the under floor heating.

A  fully equipped self catering kitchen with 2 cookers a fridge and a fridge/freezer.

The dining area has 2 large tables as well as extra folding tables so you can arrange it  to allow your group to all sit down together.

The garden contains picnic tables and  a fire pit.  –  As well as an undercover barbecue area.

The seven family size bedrooms contain between them 10 double and 12 single beds.

Underfloor heating throughout with individual thermostatic controls for each room.

4 shower rooms and 4 toilets,     one bathroom is equipped for wheel chair users.

A drying room.

There is no immediate neighbours so you can sit out in an evening talking around the firepit or just enjoying the star light sky  (weather permitting).

Plenty of parking on hard surface.

Front door keycode lock gives guests 24 hour access and peace of mind. No curfew, no membership required.

The group will be allocated a field on the farm to play in.  –  This is a hill farm so sorry,  the field is unlikely to be flat.
