Accommodation for Skanda Vale

Skanda Vale is an Ashram covering 120 acres of beautiful wood and farmland in Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Gilfach Wen Barn is ideal for groups visiting the Skanda Vale Ashram. Because of the need for an early start for the first service of each day, the self catering option of staying at Gilfach Wen Barn is more suitable for groups than staying in a hotel or B&B.

It is such a pity when guests travel from London or the Midlands to visit the Ashram if they do not take advantage of the opportunity to spend a couple of days in the area visiting tourist attractions and the beach. Have a look at the To Do pages for suggestions on places to visit.   It is a condition of staying in the accommodation at the Ashram that guests do not spend their days visiting tourist sites.

Gilfach Wen is about 8 miles drive through fantastic scenery from Skanda Vale. The route involves travelling on country roads, and I do not recommend that you use your sat nav system to find your way between the two sites. Sat Navs take you on the shortest route, but some of those roads are only suitable for 4×4 cars. I have directions to the temple on display in the holiday accommodation, if you are planning to travel here from Skanda Vale please let me know and I will email you directions.
