The large lounge and dining room and range of bedrooms at Gilfach Wen means that some groups enjoy the peace of mind of putting the children to bed before gathering together to spend the night catching up on each others news, while others move the furniture to one side and set up their own decks and disco lights so they can party into the early hours. Thanks to the building being highly insulated and two fields away from the nearest property guests can party the night away without having to worry about disturbing the neighbours.

The other popular option is sitting around the fire pit in the garden, especially as the lack of light pollution means star light nights can be enjoyed in their full glory. A local story teller can be hired as your own personal bard,   entertaining your guests with stories on the local history,  ancient Welsh myths and moral tales,  or sharing ghost stories.

There are a wide range of options for catering, some groups simply order large quantities of pizzas and drink to be delivered by one of the supermarkets. At the other end of the scale you can book a local chief to produce a 4 course meal on site using local ingredients. If you prefer to eat out there is a range of local village pubs serving food and a local minibus company so no need for designated drivers.

I offer a late check out option, so guests can have a lazy start to a Sunday a late brunch or Sunday lunch and time to clear the cobwebs from a night of partying together before heading home.
