To Do – While Staying At Gilfach Wen Barn

I am the chair of the Tourism Cluster Group,   I work as a volunteer on projects to make it easier for visitors to the area to make the most of the opportunities for walking,   cycling (including MTB) and riding locally.  –   From the front door of Gilfach Wen Barn there is a range of routes  for all levels,   from people who want a gentle stroll which includes a pub lunch,   to people training for  an elite sports event.

I am a Tourism Ambassador for Carmarthenshire,   and for the Brecon Beacon National Park.

I am in the process of revising the pages of advice on my website about beaches,  gardens,  castles to visit in South West Wales as restrictions on travel due to Covid are lifted.

I also will update the  information on what free attractions are within half an hour or an hour drive.

As well as information on paid attractions within half an hour or an hour drive from Gilfach Wen as news emerges on what businesses have survived lockdown and are preparing to reopen.

Some guests want to make the most of their stay by visiting attractions during their journey to and from Gilfach Wen Barn.   The common routes people reach Gilfach Wen are by travelling along the M4,   and from the Midlands along the A40 or Heads of the Valley route joining the M4 at Neath,    I have a page of suggestions on places to visit on each route.
