Lounge

Photo of lounge

The very large lounge at Gilfach Wen Barn gives guests a flexible space whatever their plans for the weekend.   There are a range of settees and chairs with different heights and materials.  If your group include people who want to lounge,   or more mature members who need sturdy arms to help them stand up they will find a chair that suits them.

The lounge is set out as a place for catching up on each others news,   with the added benefit of the a log fire to be a focal point.   However, there is plenty of space  if you prefer to move the furniture to one side so you can:-

  • dance the night away,
  • have yoga or prayer meetings,
  • children can play
  • or even set up the largest Scalextrix track I have ever seen.

There is a log burner to help make the space feel cosy on winter evenings  (logs and kindling are provided).   However, the whole property benefits from under floor heading so  you only have to have the fire on if you want to.

There is a modern TV which can be connected to any gaming consul or other equipment you bring with you.  However, there is also a DVD and video player.

There is a card table and chess board table provided.

There are a selection of books available in the two dressers.
